Easter and Spring

Saturday, May 6th, 2017

Spring is here and we are enjoying all of the new outdoor activities that Adrienne can do for the first time. The biggest event was of course her second Easter. It really felt like her first Easter since she was so tiny during this time last year. We had the perfect weather for an outdoor Easter egg hunt with Adrienne and Cousin Henry. After the hunt was over, they both sat in the shade and ate every single one of their Easter eggs (they were filled with cheerios and yogurt bites). Great memories!

Adrienne likes walking everywhere now instead of always riding in a stroller or shopping cart. She says "Hi" to everyone that she sees!

Bruce and Adrienne are getting closer every day. She feeds him treats and plays tug with him.

Adrienne has been picking up new animal noises every day. She now knows cat, dog, cow, chicken, owl, sheep, horse, and bunny (she just says bunny for that one).

Spring Break 2017

Last week we went on our first vacation outside of Michigan with Adrienne. We flew down to Venice, Florida to visit Grammy and Grandpa's new house. The entire Howell family was there so Adrienne got lots of Auntie, Uncle and Cousin time. We are so grateful to have been able to have the time to spend with family that we don't get to see as often as we would like to.

We had two water balloon fights throughout the week. Be sure to watch Yan experimenting with how to pop the balloons😂

Adrienne Turns One

Two weeks ago we celebrated Adrienne's first birthday! We can't believe that it has already been a year and even though she still seems like our little baby, when we compare her to pictures from a year ago we realize how fast she is growing up!

We also created a video with the "1second" app that takes a one second from a bunch of videos of Adrienne's first year. You can really see how much and how fast she has changed.

We celebrated Adrienne's birthday up in Cadillac with family. Adrienne has been loving playing with all of her new toys and reading her new books. She wasn't so sure what to do with the cake and kind of zoned out while eating it. She was much more enthusiastic about the lasagna! Lots of pictures from her special day...

Adrienne learned to walk this month. It was unbelievable how fast she went from walking while holding our hands to practically running!

Adrienne usually takes only one nap a day. She has been a much better night sleeper. She still gets up once most nights but that is much better than the 2-3 times a night like she did throughout her first 11 months!

We love watching her discover things. She decided it would be fun to put her toys in her crib.

Adrienne has started doing something we call the "cheese" smile.
